I started this site because of my love for our culture and because I enjoy sharing it with people of all backgrounds. I realized that Haitian handicrafts draw a lot of attention and appreciation for their genuine authenticity and traditionalism. However, there is a gap in the supply of genuine Haitian crafts in the market.

I created Peyipam.com because I was inspired to provide the appreciators of Haitian arts and crafts an outlet from which they could purchase ethnic Haitian handicraft executed in traditional techniques, designs, and colors. The idea was to make genuine Haitian handicrafts accessible across the globe with the click of a mouse.

I believe in fair trade practices and when you make a purchase from Peyi Pam you are not only acquiring a beautiful and unique item, but are also insuring that the artists receive a fair price for their products. The handcrafted items displayed at our site are directly procured from the craftsmen, which is beneficial for both the artists and our customers. The idea is to improve their compensation by doing away with the middlemen and also ensure that you receive the products at a reasonable price.
